Working at Cordes
We combine one of the most traditional crafts with high-tech. A number of long-standing employees have developed alongside the company and work largely digitally. Various CNC machines support the work, backed by an automatic warehouse for all panel materials. Technical clarifications are made via video conference between the construction site, production and the plant planner, who usually manages everything from his home office. The entire site is wired via fiber optics and offers continuous Wi-Fi reception, for example to manage the warehouse or process orders via tablet, which are extremely diverse in structure and cover the entire range of timber construction.
Do you want to know where you stand and how you are assessed within the company? Our entire team is evaluated by colleagues selected by the employees themselves. Based on the evaluations, payouts are made where it is possible to participate annually to a certain extent tax-free in Cordes Mitarbeiter Beteiligungs GmbH, which invests in machinery and vehicles and aims to support individual retirement provision.
Annual employee appraisals are intended to promote personal development and provide regular opportunities for suggestions for improvement. In addition to the annual Christmas party (with a partner, of course), there is also a family day and regular get-togethers on the staff terrace.

Verwaltung
Highly flexible with an innovative, comprehensive communication solution that allows employees to work from home to a large extent. The commercial processes are carried out in a highly automated ERP system, which is supported by a cloud-based document management system.
Plant planning & work preparation
The market-leading Cadwork system is used, including BIM options. The Hundegger CNC systems and the Homag CNC, including the fully automated Barbaric warehouse, can be controlled from the home office.
Project management
With a high level of decision-making authority, projects are handled independently and fully digitally. Invoices are checked online, if necessary, via smartphone. Contracts and project documents are managed in the document management system.
Production
The components, including window installation, are manufactured in modern halls heated with our own waste. Cutting is carried out on CNC systems throughout, while production is carried out on self-designed tables with comprehensive mechanical equipment.
Assembly
Our assembly teams plan their own times, usually for four days a week. Our exciting projects are carried out with the support of current vehicles – fully equipped with the relevant machines – with internal video conferencing support for technical clarifications if required.
Apprenticeship
You will be deployed in production and assembly, otherwise in all areas of the company with the option of being deployed as desired. Various current managers have been trained by us.
Internship during studies
Furthermore, many students of wood technology or civil engineering have already completed their internship with us, often including the subsequent bachelor’s thesis (formerly: diploma thesis).
