Höslwang solar power plant with a total of 1,840 kWp in Chiemgau

The solar park Höslwang was built on one of the sunniest locations in Germany (1,000 kWh/kWp / 1,295 kWh/m²), and it was put into operation on 29.06.2004.

Novel robinia wood-frame technology

Even underneath the modules innovative techniques were used. For the first time robinia wood, popularly called “false acacia”, was used for the construction of a solar farm. This domestic heartwood is nearly indestructible and resistant to all weather conditions.

The so-called SPACEHOUSE-construction of the Swiss architect and inventor David Muspach transforms the robinia into a systematic framework of delicate, short bars, that can withstand high wind loads. For the patented design, our company has acquired an exclusive license for the assembly in Europe. Our task in Höslwang was the foundation, the lightning protection, the execution of the supporting structure, the assembly of the modules and the first electrification.

The installation took place under most difficult conditions, as the images show. Up to 70 employees worked in preparation and installation at the same time.
